Sita describes the difference between Rama and Ravana
श्रीराम और रावण के अन्तर का भगवती सीता द्वारा वर्णन

Just before Ravana abducts Sita in the Valmiki Ramayana, Sita says this to him:

यदन्तरं सिंहशृगालयोर्वने यदन्तरं स्यन्दिनिकासमुद्रयोः।
सुराग्र्यसौवीरकयोर्यदन्तरं तदन्तरं वै तव राघवस्य च॥
यदन्तरं काञ्चनसीसलोहयोर्यदन्तरं चन्दनवारिपङ्कयोः।
यदन्तरं हस्तिबिडालयोर्वने तदन्तरं दाशरथेस्तवैव च॥
यदन्तरं वायसवैनतेययोर्यदन्तरं मद्गुमयूरयोरपि।
यदन्तरं सारसगृध्रयोर्वने तदन्तरं दाशरथेस्तवैव च॥
(वाल्मीकीयरामायणे ३.४७/४५–४७)

“The difference between you and Rama is the same as the difference between a jackal and a lion in the forest, the difference between a small river and the ocean, and the difference between sour gruel and the best drink (=nectar). Moreover, the difference between Rama and you is the same as the difference between gold and [an alloy of] lead-iron, the difference between sandalwood water and swamp, and the difference between an elephant and a cat in the forest. Moreover, the difference between Rama and you is the same as the difference between Garuda and a crow, the difference between a peacock and a ‘madgu’ (a water-diving bird), and the difference between a crane and a vulture.”

“जो अन्तर वन में सियार और सिंह में है, जो अन्तर क्षुद्र नदी और समुद्र में हैं, जो अन्तर कांजी और सर्वश्रेष्ठ मद्य (=अमृत) में है, निश्चित ही वही अन्तर तुम्हारा और राघव श्रीराम का है। और, जो अन्तर सोने और सीसे-लोहे में है, जो अन्तर चन्दनयुक्त जल और कीचड़ में है, जो अन्तर वन में हाथी और बिल्ली में है, वही अन्तर दाशरथि श्रीराम और तुम्हारा है। और, जो अन्तर विनतापुत्र (गरुड) और कौए में है, जो अन्तर मोर और मद्गु (एक साधारण जलपक्षी) में है, जो अन्तर वन में सारस पक्षी और गिद्ध में है, वही अन्तर दाशरथि श्रीराम और तुम्हारा है।”
